We are excited to kick off our 2026–2027 Eagle Rock Read-A-Thon—our largest fundraiser of the year!
Each year, the Read-A-Thon raises approximately 40% of the PTA's annual budget, making it one of the most important ways our community supports the programs and experiences that make Eagle Rock Elementary & Magnet Center such a special place to learn and grow.

How It Works

Throughout the month, students will challenge themselves to read as many minutes as they can while raising funds to support their school. The Read-A-Thon is designed to foster a lifelong love of reading while encouraging students to set goals, celebrate their accomplishments, and work together as a school community. Students will:

Read as many minutes as they can.
Log their reading minutes online.
Ask friends, family members, neighbors, and supporters to make a tax-deductible donation in support of their reading.
Earn classroom, grade-level, and school-wide prizes based on reading minutes and fundraising achievements.

We'll track the progress of every student, classroom, and the entire school as we work toward our reading and fundraising goals together! The Read-A-Thon is more than a fundraiser—it's an opportunity to build confidence, encourage healthy reading habits, inspire friendly competition, and celebrate the joy of reading.

Our Goal: $175,000

Funds raised through this year's Read-A-Thon will support educational enrichment opportunities that benefit every Eagle Rock student, including:

🎭 California Dance Institute (CDI) - $25,000

Providing high-quality dance education that encourages creativity, confidence, collaboration, and self-expression.

🚌 Field Trips - $38,000 Total

Helping every grade level experience meaningful, hands-on learning beyond the classroom.

TK / Kindergarten / SPED – $2,000
1st & 2nd Grades – $3,500
3rd & 4th Grades – $5,000
5th & 6th Grades – $7,500

Please note: Overnight field trips are planned by the school and teachers and are funded separately by participating families.

❤️ Eagle Rock Student & School Support - $11,500

Providing resources that enhance student experiences and support school-wide initiatives throughout the year.

🎵 Music Enrichment & Winter Performance - $65,500

Supporting music instruction for our primary grades and helping provide memorable performance opportunities for our students.

🎉 Fundraising & Program Expenses - $35,000

Covering the costs associated with producing successful fundraising events that make these programs possible while ensuring resources are maximized for students.

Every donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law and directly benefits Eagle Rock Elementary & Magnet Center.
